My Favourite Things.. enjoy!!

A few of my favourite things :)

The Apple Watch
This is what I'm saving for, I really want one. In this colour too, they're so expensive here in Canada and so what I'm thinking is I need to travel to the U.S. to get one.

Vega One All-In-One Nutritional Shake
To begin with, I really like the Vega line of products, for their commitment to natural, high-quality vegan products geared for athletic lifestyles. This is my first time taking a meal replacement shake, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I usually combine this with soy milk or water, (or a combination of the two) and find it very satisfying. I love having this after working out, and I don't feel hungry after. It's when you're on the go with no time to prepare something.

I have a Scentsy Obsession... lol, I LOVE IT A LOT!!
My favourites scents are: Route 66
Oh Flirtatious is really good!! I love the "Romance" collection!!
                                        lucky in love
                                        Central Park Praline
                                        Apple Press
                                         Lucky In Love
                                         Luna
                                        Quiver
and because I love baseball the MLB warmers as well

Confession: I'm a sucker for Bath & Body Works. Specifically, their soaps.
Love the smell, the products, service, employees, and the saleeeeees :]
I love how the products are not tested on animals too. That's a major plus.
Every visit, I always have friendly services from different employees. I ran into the same employee who liked to share her unique mix of different fragrance two times. She was really friendly and wanted everyone to be unique with how they smell and say "I smell like BBW

What amazing books. I found myself comparing a lot at the beginning to 50 shades of Grey, but by the middle of the first book it was definitely in a league of it's own. Eva and Gideon had a very steamy relationship. It was hard to put the books down. This series is not a "knock off" of the 50 Shades series. Sylvia Day wrote an incredible love story with mystery and characters that come to life.

I love this musky floral scent of heaven! I bought it with my Shoppers Drug Mart points, so it only cost me $20. I was not prepared for how much I love this perfume! Marc Jacobs you genius! This is a perfectly warm amber floral that's deep and sensuous and makes me feel so happy. And I do love the bottle, those plastic flowers on top are so cute, some may call them kitsch but I think they are charming. This is the only bottle of my 30-some odd bottles of perfume that I actually display in my living room. It's gorgeous! Have I just found my HG scent? Possibly!

To me, this mostly smells like nice, fruity soap, and I don't pick up any specific notes -- maybe strawberry and peony, but it all seems to blend really nicely to give a solid, pleasant fragrance. It doesn't smell too "young" for me to wear it, and I don't think the scent is so fruity that women who are older than I am couldn't also wear it confidently.
On on hand, I appreciate that it's soft enough that it's difficult to overdo it with this one, but by the same token, it doesn't last very long for me -- maybe four hours on average. That said, since it is so soft, it's safe to wear around those sensitive to scents and in the office/to work or school without worrying about offending someone's nose or causing anyone a headache. It is not a perfume that lingers after you walk past.
The bottle is pretty, but I wish the cap was less obnoxious.
I get compliments when I wear this, and I would repurchase.

WHY I LIKE IT: I don't say this lightly, but this has completely changed the way I wear nail polish. That's because it's solved every gripe I had with gel manicures—like the fact that you had to wait for the polish to cure under special lights (snooze) and then get it scraped off or soak your fingers in acetone (ow). This goes on and comes off exactly like regular polish: two coats of a base-plus-color formula and one layer of the topcoat. Each of them contains a chemical compound that acts a lot like a teeny solar panel, capturing light (real or artificial) that activates a process that hardens and cures the gel while you go about your day. It dries in five minutes

    • Sign in to an existing account.
    • Create a new account.
    • View your blog as a guest (no account required).

5. Choose and implement streams of income

Before we dive into the particulars of income streams, the bonus pack provides an analogy to help you understand what I call the 4-legged approach .
Alright.
Once your blog has earned trust, think about making money. Many people want to focus solely on this, but if you try to dive into monetizing before you’ve really built your platform, you run the risk of damaging the good reputation you so desperately need.
There are numerous ways bloggers make money. Each blogger has a different combination of income streams. There is no “right” way to make money blogging. And that’s the beauty of it. There are endless possibilities.
Income streams ebb and flow, so successful bloggers are constantly exploring new ways to make money. The key to making good money as a blogger is to have multiple streams of income. Even small trickles of money coming from various sources over time can really add up.
At the risk of sounding corny, the best way to start monetizing is to let it grow organically out of what you are already doing. Hopefully you are blogging about something you enjoy. As you grow, look for ways to monetize that would most suit you and your audience. Following are a list of income streams bloggers adopt, broken down into five main categories:
How to make money blogging: advertising
Unlike many of the other categories, advertising is all about generating income directly from your blog, website or other digital asset(s).

Display Ads

Display ads are graphics or images similar to billboards or ads in a magazine. Typically they are positioned on your site in the sidebar, header, footer or within your content. Sometimes they are referred to as banner ads.
Ads on your site are meant to complement your blog’s content, making them attractive and relevant to visitors. Advertisers hope that your visitors will then click on those images to explore and purchase the products or services they offer.
Display ads are often provided through ad networks. Ad networks are companies that pair advertisers with publishers (bloggers). Ad networks act as a middle man between advertisers and publishers, negotiating partnership details between the two. The ad network takes a cut from the partnership profit.
Ad networks are attractive to many bloggers because they take the hassle out of display advertising. Some ad networks, like Google Adsense, are relatively easy to get into and are easy to set up. Other ad networks, though, are selective in who they accept.
Examples of ad networks are Google AdSense, BlogadsBlogHerBeacon Ads, Federated Media, Sovrn, (formerly Lijit), Media.net, Rivit, Sway. There are many more, so once you get involved in your niche’s community of bloggers, you’ll soon hear of others.

Can you really make money with Google AdSense?

This is a very popular question, and a good one. Google Adsense is probably the most popular ad network and a good place for beginning bloggers to start if they want to pursue display ads because it’s so easy to set up.
However, if you want to make really good money with Google AdSense, you either have to be in a unique niche in which advertisers will pay a lot of money for clicks on their ads (hard to find), or you have to have a lot of traffic (hard to get, especially for beginners). For these reasons, I don’t recommend AdSense (or display advertising in general) as the main pursuit for new bloggers.
Tips:
  • If you want to get an idea of pricing and traffic for popular blogs, sites like Beacon Ads and Federated Media are places you can do that.
  • If you’re using CPC/PPC ads (cost per click/pay per click), check out Google’s recommendations for best ad placement on your site. It’s important that your content doesn’t get drowned out by ads. Google has indicated sites with too many ads above the fold may be penalized in search. If you’re not sure what above the fold is on your site, use this tool.
  • As always, experiment. Experiment with ad placement to get the right combination on your site.

Field Agent: Get Paid to Be an iPhone ‘Secret Shopper’

A new app has hit the App Store called Field Agent, to allow for companies to utilize the millions of iPhone users into their secret shoppers. By accepting jobs, users can get paid anywhere from $2-8 per job, with all payments paid out via PayPal. The app is available in the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia.
Here’s how it works:
The Field Agent process works like this:
1. One of our Clients logs onto Field Agent and creates a job.
2. Our system prices the job and releases it to Agents in the field.
3. Agents with the app installed are notified of the new job in their area via push or e-mail.
4. The first Agent to accept the job has 2 hours to complete it.
5. Once the information is approved, the agent’s account will be credited for that job.
6. Agents may cash out at any time. The funds will be transferred to their PayPal account within 48 hours.
7. The Client has the information they needed and the Agent made a few extra bucks. Mission accomplished!
After installing the app, you will be required to register by supplying your name and an email address. It will ask you to answer some questions to help build your profile. It is up to you whether you choose to supply info or not.

Canadian Field Agents Can Start ‘Working’ Tomorrow
Field Agent has Canadian clients setup, and starting tomorrow Loblaw stores (Real Canadian Superstore, Extra Foods, No Frills, Zehrs, Loblaws, Provigo, Maxi & Real Atlantic Superstore) will have ‘jobs’ available for Field Agents, to kick off the Canadian campaign. These Loblaw jobs will be paid out $6.50. If you can complete your job in 10 minutes, that’s the equivalent of earning $39/hour. As more clients sign on, expect more jobs to be posted.
The app uses your location and with Push Notifications enabled you can get notified of jobs where ever you go.
Clients could be asking for agents to check something like store layout, signage, or pricing. Agents might be asked to snap a picture and submit it within the app. To check your balance, just login to the web portal at ca.fieldagent.net to check balances and to cash out. Agents get ‘scored’ out of 100, to ensure good agents are rewarded with points while those unable to fulfill jobs in time losing points.
Field Agent is for real–it’s not a scam. An early iTunes review of the app reveals a user was paid for snapping a picture of a Folgers coffee can. Now that’s what you call easy money. The example job below asks agents to take a picture of the video game section at a Target store in Bellingham.

I’ve been in contact with Jeff Doucette, the General Manager for Field Agent in Canada. He notes there is no minimum for cashing out your balance, and all payments are sent to PayPal in less than 48 hours. Check out the video below for more info:
For those with time on their hands, Field Agent looks like a promising way to make money to pay for that expensive iPhone monthly bill. This is the future for companies to receive valuable feedback for their retail operations, utilizing the power of iPhone users.Click here to download Field Agent–it’s free.

Get Cash Back with Checkout 51

Have you heard about Checkout 51? If not, here is a brief introduction to who they are and what they do:
Checkout 51 lets you save on the brands you love. Get new offers weekly, buy from any store in Canada or the US (excluding Quebec), snap a photo of the receipt and get cash back!
Checkout 51 is based out of Toronto and is looking to change the world of couponing in Canada and the US by offering consumers cash back, without them having to use a single coupon.
Here’s what Noah Godfrey, Checkout 51 co-founder, has to say about the service:
“Since the Coca-Cola Company issued the first coupon 125 years ago, coupons haven’t changed much. Shoppers have to do a lot of work to save money on groceries, clipping or printing, stuffing wallets, holding up checkout lines. Checkout 51 makes it easier to get discounts on peanut butter, toilet paper and everything else found in a grocery store.”
Checkout 51 Logo

How does Checkout 51 work?

  1. Buy items at any store in Canada or the US. Yes, that even includes stores such as Costco and The Bulk Barn.
  2. Send a photo of your receipt. Receipts must be very clear and readable. You must send a photo of your entire receipt, from the very top to the very bottom. If you have a long receipt, you can add “sections”.
  3. Get cash back. You can request a cheque once your account hits $20, or you can let it grow to a larger amount. The choice is yours. Cheques will be mailed to the address you have on file.
Yes, it really is that easy! And no, it is not a scam. It works!

Who can be member?

Anyone can be a member of Checkout 51, as long as you live in Canada or the US. It’s free to sign up.
Each member is allowed one account per device.

Can I get cash back on multiple items?

There is a limit of 1 rebate per item, per account. If you wanted to buy, for example, 3 of any particular item, you would only receive cash back for 1 of those items, per account.
You can submit multiple receipts each week, but you can only use a receipt once. This means you can’t buy 2 of the same item and submit the receipt once for one account and again for another account.

When are new offers available to claim?

New Checkout 51 offers are released every Thursday (we post them on Mrs January every Tuesday so you can plan your shopping trip) and are valid until Wednesday of the following week.
There are usually around 10-15 offers available and you can claim 1 or all of them, but you must hurry, as quantities are limited (beta members – who are those that signed up before this app was available to everyone – never have to worry about limited quantities). New offers are announced through email, the Checkout 51 app, and the Checkout 51 Facebook page.
Note: Sometimes you will find exclusive offers when you view available offers via the app. These exclusive offers vary by account and are based on your previous rebates. Checkout 51 will evaluate what you have purchased in the past and give you these special, exclusive offers.

Can I use coupons and other discounts and still get my rebate?

Yes, you can use coupons and other discounts and you will still receive cash back for your purchase(s).
This is a great way to get free, or close to free, grocery items each week!
Checkout 51

When do I get my cash back?

You are able to cash out and receive a cheque once your account reaches $20 or more. You don’t have to cash out right away, but if you want to, you can.
Cheques are sent out via mail within 7 business days. From personal experience, I usually receive my rebate cheque about 1 week after I request it. They’re very fast!

I live in Quebec, can I use Checkout 51?

Eventually, yes. Right now, no. They are currently working on perfecting their technology so that it will be able to read French receipts, but currently they can only read English.
Once they are able to read French receipts, Quebec will be able to participate.

I don’t have an Apple or Android device, can I use Checkout 51?

Yes! You can now use Checkout 51, even without an Apple or Android device.
If you haven’t signed up to Checkout 51 yet – what are you waiting for? If you love saving money, but hate the hassle of carrying coupons around with you (or if you want to combine your coupon savings with your rebate savings), this is the app for you!
You can sign up to Checkout 51 right here. Happy saving!
